BIG HAIR AT 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion show came back bigger and better than ever!  It was a fantastically colorful night as the Empire State Building lit up pink right before the show. The Victoria’s Secret fashion show has always been a huge symbolic representation of fashion for the brand but past leadership hit the snooze button on the annual showcase ever since the pandemic.  The fashion show is the brand’s premiere event to introduce the season’s hottest undergarments and lingerie. During the show, fans are treated to looks that manage to blend high fashion with fun, flirty and luxurious pieces that are signature to the Victoria’s Secret brand.

The 2024 fashion show was an epic event that saw the return of numerous former Victoria Secret Angels both from the far and recent past.  Beauty was clearly on display on the catwalk with eye catching looks that featured lace, fine embroidery, bling and all that’s glitzy and glamourous. There was one feature of the show's beauty theme that was cohesive amongst many of the models. That was---BIG beautiful NATURAL HAIR!  The hair was bold, big and oh so glorious!

Victoria Secret model, Joan Smalls was a sensual sight to see while sporting vivacious big kinky straight natural hair.

Now this is what glam is all about... Joan's face card can never decline.

Iman Hammam strutted down the runway with beautiful kinky curly hair in a soft pink number.

Plus size Angel, Devyn Garcia grabbed the attention of the audience while wearing kinky hair and a romantic, ethereal ruffled look.

Angolan model, Blesnya Minher was more than beautiful in the sheer fringed piece that she wore down the runway.  Bold big hair never looked so good.

Kai Soleil made a sexy and starry appearance with a hairstyle that can only be described with the 3 B’S: Blonde, Big, and Bold!

Layla Etengan showed out in this metallic black outfit

Rania Benchegra was confident and poised in a burgundy and red daring 3 piece outfit.

Jessie Aina made her VS debut in a dramatic white feather coat

Singer, Tyla even made an appearance on promotional materials for the show wearing big gorgeous and vivacious kinky hair! Wow! Wow! Wow!

Tyra Banks popped out to close the 2024 Victoria's Secret fashion show with gorgeous sexy natural hair! Who can really do it better than Tyra!?
It’s absolutely incredible to see so many beautiful models wearing natural kinks on the catwalk.  To see one of the most glamorous brands style their models in kinky bold looks goes to show that natural hair is alluring as much as it is iconic.  When fabulosity and alluring appeal is the desired outcome...choose kinks!

This was a first seeing Halle perform classic Motown hits and she has certainly got the moves and vocals to sing in the classic Motown style.  Halle wore a half up half down loc'd look with a long afro kinky half wig.  All three singers wore beautiful natural hair looks.  Isn't great to hear the exclusive sounds of Motown while in a modern era?  All three ladies looked classy and beautiful while belting out these hits by the Supremes.   The Motown era was full of vibrant, soulful and talente...

FDA To Ban Relaxers Next Month As Cancer Link is Revealed

Almost 90% of black women have used a chemical relaxer at some point in their lives; many of whom began using it as children.  Usage of chemical relaxers has posed significant risks to the health of minority women. Women who use chemical relaxers are often unaware of the health conditions that they can introduce.  They have been clinically linked to reproductive disorders, infertility, cancer and other diseases.   A reporter for the New York Times, Linda Villarosa, spent a significant amount of time gathering facts about the health crisis surrounding chemical relaxers.  Through a lens similar to one idealized by black female epidemiologists, Villarosa discovered the well-researched link between the frequent usage of chemical relaxers and uterine cancer in black women.  These chemically-laced relaxers contain ingredients that act as endocrine disrupters which lead to early puberty and cancer in black women. Chemical relaxers have always been aggressively ma...
