Brazilian Women are Crazy About Big Hair

Brazilian women sure know how to bring the heat, sugar, spice and everything nice.  They’re usually confident, exuberant, and brimming over with passion but there’s something that many love about Brazilian women: their hair!  When one thinks of buying hair, Brazilian is often the first type that comes to mind.  It’s a grade of human hair that can be purchased for wigs or even weaves but who is it named after? Brazilian women of course!

And who could forget about “Brazilian” keratin treatments?!  There’s this fascination that some have with Brazilian hair and it being one of the most coveted types of hair. Brazilian women love curls and there is one trend that is taking Brazilian society by storm.  Big curly vivacious hair is the it girl look in Brazil; it’s a look that we over here at Essence Wigs have been purporting for the longest!  We’re glad that our Brazilian sisters are loving all the beautiful and lustrous kinky styles that can be achieved with this type of hair.

There’s just something about the look of big, beautiful, curly and kinky hair that is unique and gives the woman (or man) wearing it tons of pizazz and an element of bold mystery and style.  When someone with a full head of big curly strands walks in the room, all the eyes in the room will become fixated on that hair. Ask any lover of big hair!   Of course some will stare simply because of the beauty of big voluminous natural hair while others may simply wonder to themselves, “Is that all her hair?”  

It really doesn’t matter whether it is hair that is grown directly from a person’s head,  whether it's a big curly crochet wig or hair that’s been crocheted directly into a person hair; one thing is certain and two things are sure: 

1.) Big curly and kinky hair will never go out of style!

2.) Big curly hair is best worn falling down the shoulders and back!

3.) The bigger the hair, the harder they stare...

BIG HAIR AT 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion show came back bigger and better than ever!  It was a fantastically colorful night as the Empire State Building lit up pink right before the show. The Victoria’s Secret fashion show has always been a huge symbolic representation of fashion for the brand but past leadership hit the snooze button on the annual showcase ever since the pandemic.  The fashion show is the brand’s premiere event to introduce the season’s hottest undergarments and lingerie. Meta Gala 2025: What Will be The Feminine Take on Black Dandyism?
