Love my Hair Performance by Mickey Guyton, Brittney Spencer and Madeline Edwards

Country music artists Mickey Guyton, Brittney Spencer and Madeline Edwards performed a rendition of "Love my Hair" at the CMA Awards in 2021.  It is a beautiful song about embracing the hair that we were given and finding freedom through self love and loving one's natural hair.  


The song was inspired by Faith Fennidy, a young African American girl who faced hair discrimination while attending school in the south.  She was prohibited from wearing braids in the classroom by the school's principal, who gave her a week to remove them or face expulsion.

Man Snatches Singer's Natural Textured Wig Off On Street

NY singer, Lizzy Ashleigh uploaded a Tik Tok video which showed a man snatching a green kinky curly wig off of her head.  Ashliegh was walking through the street, when the man casually walked up to her and pulled her wig off.  The man, whose since been identified as Anthony Orlich was with a friend when he engaged in the daring act.  After he pulled the wig off,  another man which appeared to be a friend, suggested that he apologize to Ashliegh as she yelled to Orlich, " Sir!
