Saucy Santana Comes for Baby Blue Ivy and Beyonce and the Beyhive are NOT having it!

Saucy Santana’s old tweets about Beyonce and Blue Ivy magically re-appeared last week just as he released his “Crazy in Love” sampled track titled, “Booty.”  One of the tweets, which was four years old, criticized Beyonce during her pregnancy.  A person tweeted that Beyonce was glowing and Santana responded, “she look dry to me.”

The most horrible statement of the old tweets was when Santana compared Blue Ivy to North West and horridly called Blue’s hair nappy. The tweet dated, Sept 17, 2014, said, “I just wanna be Blue Ivy (insert laughing emojis) nappy headed….”  A second tweet came a month later and Saucy Santana was bold in saying, “I’m sorry but North West clears Blue Ivy.  Have several carseats Blue.”

Saucy Santana’s tweets are a class A example why many women in the Black community are hesitant to embrace who they are.  These are the types of statements that become ingrained in little black girls minds which lead them to think that they and their Afrocentric features are less than or are not good enough.  Here, we have a black man criticizing a young black girl’s features and what makes it even worse is that she was a baby at the time.  This black man should be encouraging and highlighting the beauty of another individual who shares his same race but instead he opts to belittle her.  Comparing Blue Ivy, a black girl to a bi-racial girl’s features makes the situation even more heinous.  North West is of European and African descent.  Saucy Santana doesn’t realize that he is essentially stating that European features are better than Afrocentric features by saying that North West “clears” Blue Ivy.  Then he goes on to demean this young black baby saying, “have several carseats” because the look you were born with is less than our European brothers and sisters.

Nappy Hair? Are we still using this word?

Calling afro hair "nappy" is not cute.  The word "nappy" came into being from slave masters who used it to refer to black slaves' hair. We can’t say this enough but it’s high time that use of the word “nappy” be stopped.  It’s not funny and it’s demeaning.  Afro hair is beautiful and worthy of adoration.  Black hair is to be admired.  It wows, it stuns and it leaves others in awe!  Black hair and black features are trending on the runways of your most admired fashion houses.  Saucy, you said “Material girl--Chanels and pearls is what it takes to keep the girls.”  Well--Newsflash: Chanel willfully chooses ambassadors with black features and the hair you negatively speak about. Nappy?! Oh, we thinks not!  Whitney Peak is an ambassador for Chanel. Here she is at the 2021 Met Gala.

Chanel also has black models with afro hair walking down their runways. Blesnya Minher regularly walks the runways of Chanel in Paris sporting her afro. So get it right, Mr. Saucy!

When the Beyhive found out about the tweets, they went off and they are still going off as of the posting of this article.

We all know how the Beyhive works.  If you say something wrong about Beyonce or anyone linked to her, it’s full-on attack mode.  Apologize for your statements or actions and it’s all good and gravy again. The Beyhive is probably thee most 'go hard' fanbases of them all. There is a never ending sea of comments from the Beyhive on Santana's recent posts and there's no telling when it will stop.

Saucy Santana refused to apologize in a statement two days ago and he declared that he can't be cancelled.   He tweeted:

Well---the audacity!! Saucy Santana has got a ton of learning to do especially if he wants to do well as an entertainer.  Entertainers should be well aware of the plight and the struggles of the black community especially if they are part of the community and other marginalized communities.

It’s not okay to make statements like this about a young, innocent black girl and then go on as if nothing happened while refusing to understand the error and hypocrisy of your ways. The same hypocrisy that allows him to profit off of black women's culture, characteristics actions and features.

The Beyhive is not going to let up Mr. Saucy, so do what you need to do to make it right!

Black Girls and women of the world: Do not let statements of people like Mr. Saucy affect you. Know that you are beautiful and your afrocentric features are in demand and adored by many.  So let's end this with an amazing song by Momma Bey and the little Blue Bey to which they also won a grammy for. Blue Ivy is one of the youngest to ever do it and Mr. Saucy should actually take notes from her.

And this yellowjacket bee is signed off til next time folks!

FDA To Ban Relaxers Next Month As Cancer Link is Revealed

Almost 90% of black women have used a chemical relaxer at some point in their lives; many of whom began using it as children.  Usage of chemical relaxers has posed significant risks to the health of minority women. Women who use chemical relaxers are often unaware of the health conditions that they can introduce.  They have been clinically linked to reproductive disorders, infertility, cancer and other diseases.   A reporter for the New York Times, Linda Villarosa, spent a significant amount of time gathering facts about the health crisis surrounding chemical relaxers.  Through a lens similar to one idealized by black female epidemiologists, Villarosa discovered the well-researched link between the frequent usage of chemical relaxers and uterine cancer in black women.  These chemically-laced relaxers contain ingredients that act as endocrine disrupters which lead to early puberty and cancer in black women. Chemical relaxers have always been aggressively ma...

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion show came back bigger and better than ever!  It was a fantastically colorful night as the Empire State Building lit up pink right before the show. The Victoria’s Secret fashion show has always been a huge symbolic representation of fashion for the brand but past leadership hit the snooze button on the annual showcase ever since the pandemic.  The fashion show is the brand’s premiere event to introduce the season’s hottest undergarments and lingerie.
